About the wine
Sunny and fertile landscapes in South Australia give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Australian winery Penfolds conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. With the strong red wine 2013 — Bin 128 Shiraz, nuances and accents are redefined. The Flaschenpöstler promise a dining experience when you serve this Shiraz with game or roasted vegetables.
Tasting note
Classic Coonawarra shiraz with a cool climate. The 2021 vintage produced an elegant, medium-bodied and aromatic wine. Aged in French oak, it tastes of dark fruits and violets, has very spicy notes and silky tannins.
Culinary recommendation
Flaschenpost team recommends this Bin 128 Shiraz for barbecues, game and roasted vegetables. Our recommendation: Drink this red wine at a slightly chilled 16°-17°C. The recommended enjoyment phase of this wine is 5-8 years in the following period.
Vinification
Bin 128 comes from the unique Terra Rossa red clay and limestone soils in Coonawarra. Aging for 12 months in French barriques.
