Picturesque and sunny landscapes in South Australia give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Australian winery Penfolds conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. Flaschenpost team tip: Combine this Cabernet Sauvignon with ribeye steak or red meat.

Tasting note
The perfect symbiosis between structured Cabernet Sauvignon and aromatic Shiraz. A wonderful balance of fruit and fine oak wood. Bewitching fruit of sour cherries and blackberries on the nose as well as gentle notes of dark chocolate and shiitake mushrooms. On the palate, the bin 389 is reminiscent of black licorice and anise as well as slate. The robust structure looks refined and perfectly integrates acid and tannins. Still young but powerful!
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with roasts, stews, fine cuts of meat and grilled meats.
Vinification
The ageing takes place in American oak barrels for 12 months.
