About the wine
Awarded a massive 93 Robert Parker points, this strong Cabernet Shiraz from Penfolds goes perfectly with a good piece of Tomahawk steak. But this Australian also cuts a really strong figure just like that.

Tasting note
Bin 389 is often referred to as “Baby Grange,” partly because parts of the wine are aged in the same barrels as the previous vintage of the Grange. A kaleidoscope of aromas on the nose - wild fruits, blackberries, mulberries, licorice but also spicy notes of cardamom and peppercorns can be smelled. The aroma descriptions are reflected on the palate, and fine tannins provide a good structure. The fruit combines well with the creamy American oak. Very accessible and already easy to drink, it gets even better over the years!
Culinary recommendation
Goes very well with red meat, such as a Wagyu Tomahawk steak from the grill.
Vinification
12 months in American oak barrels (37% new ones)
