About the wine
Motivated by his enthusiasm for good wines, Andrea Davaz and two friends founded von Salis AG in 1994. They themselves cultivate around two hectares of their own vines in the Bündner Herrschaft and source from over 60 vine growers from Fläsch, Maienfeld, Jenins, Malans, Zizers and Trimmis. Grapes from the Grisons grow on more than 50 hectares there, making the wines something special. This one is uncomplicated, fresh and drinkable. A true Graubünden wine.
Tasting note
A berry-fruity, fragrant, light and tasty wine. Fresh and fine on the palate. Aromatic and soft with a subtle, seductive sweetness at the start and refreshing fine acidity at the end.
Culinary recommendation
The aperitif wine par excellence. Asian dishes go perfectly with the Blanc de Noir.
Vinification
The red Pinot Noir grapes are pressed immediately after debering and then pressed and aged like a white wine in stainless steel tanks. By filtering the color particles, this wine is as white as a white wine.
