About the wine
Picturesque landscapes of Burgenland give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Austrian winery Josef Pöckl conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. With this distinctive Blaufränkisch 2013 — Blaufrankisch Classique, the term taste takes on a new meaning. Flaschenpost team tip: Combine this Blaufränkisch with lamb or mushroom risotto.
Tasting note
Dark ruby garnet Fresh berry jam on the nose, a hint of licorice, ripe cassis, juicy red cherries on the palate, mineral, round, drinkable.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with steaks, goose, beef schnitzel or chilli dishes. It can also be served with cheeses such as Camembert, Emmental, mountain cheese or old Gouda.
