About the wine
This distinctive Blaufränkisch 2011 — Blaufrankisch Joiser Kirschgarten crowns every festive meal with elegance and finesse. The winemaker from Austrian Weingut Familie Umathum masters this red wine with sensitivity and intuition in the picturesque landscape of Burgenland. Flaschenpöstler tip: Combine this Blaufränkisch with steak or lamb.
Tasting note
Black core with purple edges, ethereal nose, aromas reminiscent of ripe, crunchy, dark cherries. A bouquet of spices literally pops out of the glass. Vibrating on the tongue, fruity with a bite on the palate. Chocolate cherries, lingering on the palate for a long time. An impressive wine with great storage potential.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with fish, beef and game.
Vinification
It is aged in old, small oak barrels for 24 months, which gives the wine maturity and stability for bottling. After bottling, the wine ages in the winery for several months.
