Tasting note
This wine has an intense nose with dark berry fruits and hints of allspice, black cardamom, cloves and graphite. The compote of black plums, blackberries and currants on the nose follows a balanced mid-palate with lively notes of red plums, black cherries, green olives and violets at the entrance. The wine has a classic structure and a grippy texture with hints of espresso, tar and star anise that lingers on the finish.
Culinary recommendation
Hearty wine that also needs hearty dishes. South-French stews with lamb and beans are best.
