About the wine
Absolute top Barbera from Piedmont. Beautiful ruby red, toasted notes, wood, elderberry, sweetness and fruit.
Tasting note
Intense ruby with purple reflections. Beguiling, multi-layered, seductive nose with lots of ripe, dark fruit, toasted notes, dark chocolate and some pepper. Full and taut on the palate. Voluminous, with a dense structure. Again dark fruit, cherries, notes of warm spices. Long, juicy and very harmonious finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with Piedmontese specialties and fine meat in sauce.
Vinification
The Barbera grapes from the legendary vineyard "Uccellone" are harvested by hand and processed immediately. After the gentle crushing of the grapes, a gentle maceration follows for 20 days at a controlled temperature. The young wine then matures for 15 months in barriques and a further twelve months in the bottle.
