About the wine
The winemaker from the Italian winery Braida / Giacomo Bologna has absolutely mastered his craft. Elegance and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originates in the picturesque and sunny landscape of Piedmont. We have a special, biting red wine from 2015 for you, which is a source of enthusiasm among many wine connoisseurs. Flaschenpost team tip: Combine this Barbera with stews or antipasti.
Tasting note
Deep, powerful ruby with purple reflections. The nose is profound and complex with notes of precious woods, spice, licorice and liquorice. Fruity notes of ripe plums, plus a little vanilla. Wonderfully dense and full on the palate. Fine-grained tannins of high quality. Juicy, well-integrated acidity with plum and cherry aromas. Roasted aromas are added. Compact, long-lasting finish that indicates good shelf life.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with hearty dishes such as a brasato with polenta.
