About the wine
Fertile and blooming Tuscan landscapes give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Le Chiuse conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. With the outstanding Sangiovese 2013 — Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, nuances and accents are redefined. Culinary tip from Flaschenpöstler: This Sangiovese can be served very well with beef or pizza.
Tasting note
Ruby red, with slight garnet notes. On the nose, it is clean, elegant, with predominantly fruity notes of ripe plum and wild cherry. On the palate, even more complexity, mineral flint and warm leather complement the fruit. A strong structure with great tannins leads to the long-lasting finale.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with beef, game, lamb and Mediterranean cuisine.
Vinification
The grapes were fermented spontaneously with the mash at a temperature of 30 degrees Celsius for 20 days. During fermentation, the must was constantly moved from bottom to top to maintain and intensify its color, body and structure. After fermentation, the wine was pumped into 20 to 30 hectoliter Slavonian and French oak barrels to mature for 36 months.
