About the wine
This outstanding Sangiovese 2013 — Brunello di Montalcino DOCG crowns every festive meal with elegance and finesse. The winemaker from the Italian winery Talenti masteres this red wine with sensitivity and intuition in the fertile and blooming landscape of Tuscany. Culinary tip from Flaschenpöstler: This Sangiovese is ideal for serving with pasta or pizza.
Tasting note
Glowing ruby garnet. Very open, accessible nose, classic with aromas of cherries, plum leather and walnuts. Juicy on the palate, shows lots of precise fruit, opens with crunchy tannins. Refined and elegant with a long finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with entrecote, braised/fried lamb and game with spicy sauces.
Vinification
Maceration and fermentation in steel tanks (28-29°C). Aging for 24 months at 60% in French oak tonneaux (500L) and 40% in Slavonian oak barrels (15-25 hl). Aging in bottles for at least 1 year.
