About the wine
The strong red wine 2015 — Cabernet Franc Unplugged is the missing puzzle piece in your wine rack. The winemaker from the Austrian winery Hannes Reeh has absolutely mastered his craft. Elegance and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originates in the picturesque landscape of Burgenland. Flaschenpöstler tip: Combine this Cabernet Franc with goat cheese or ravioli.
Tasting note
The nose shows aromas of plum fruit, red and blue berries and a touch of orange peel and dried cranberries. Spicy with fine herbal notes and some cedar wood. On the palate, there is a distinct extract of sweetness, gripping tannin and a subtle chocolaty finish.
Culinary recommendation
With its strong structure, it goes well with grilled cuisine, e.g. spare ribs, lamb chops, rib eye, as well as grilled peppers, zucchini and corn. Also excellent with braised dishes and game.
