Tasting note
The new red wine from the Merus line! This garnet Merlot has a subtle and complex bouquet of blackberries, dried fruits and black currants. With pleasant acidity and soft tannins, it is round and supple on the palate and is harmonious and persistent in the finish. It has good maturation potential and is a true price-performance miracle!
Culinary recommendation
Flaschenpost team recommends this Cabernet Merlot Merus to accompany ribeye steak, pizza with mushrooms and red meat. Our recommendation: Enjoy this red wine at a slightly chilled 17°-18°C.
Vinification
After mash fermentation in concrete containers, the wine is aged for ten months with biological acid degradation to 50% each in large and small oak barrels. As a result, the blend rests in the concrete container for a further two months until bottling and then matures in the bottle for another four months.
