About the wine
1991 marks the beginning of the success story of Badet-Clément and Les Jamelles in Languedoc-Roussillon: In this year, the Burgundian couple Catherine and Laurent Delaunay, trained in the New World, began to produce their Les Jamelles line, which is primarily based on varietal wines. Badet-Clément is now one of the most successful French export wineries, whose originality and quality are recognized by the international trade press and whose Les Jamelles wines are regularly awarded in competitions.
Tasting note
This balanced, fruity, sustainable and full-bodied cuvée is a deep black red with light violet reflections. A very strong bouquet of ripe cherries, plums and black berries rises to the nose, along with floral geranium and violet aspects. The first drink is dry and fresh, with juicy tannins and a harmonious, full-bodied structure. In addition to the berry and stone fruit aromas, there are roasted notes of smoke, cocoa and chocolate as well as a hint of humus and a pleasant finish.
