About the wine
The winemaker from the South African winery Spier Wines masters this red wine with sensitivity and intuition in the beautiful and sunny landscape of the coastal region. If we can offer something special for Easter 2019, it will be this dominant red wine 2014 — Cabernet Sauvignon 21 Gables. Tasting note
The Spier 21 Gables Cabernet Sauvignon pours dark red and immensely concentrated color into the glass. An abundance of cassis, black cherries and concentrated aromas of oak fill the nose with subtle hints of fine toasted notes and pencil chips in the background. A full-bodied wine with a concentrated structure and an immensely opulent finish.
Culinary recommendation
Very good with grilled sirloin or rib eye steak. Alternatively, serve a rich almond and eggplant or lamb's knuckle stew.
