About the wine
David Ramey earned his spurs in some world-famous farms before founding his own winery in Healdsburg/Sonoma County in 1996. Château Pétrus and Dominus, for example, are among his list of references. He combines the methods of the old world with innovation from the new world, creating wines that are characterized by incredible balance and longevity.

Deep ruby red, varied scent of ripe red and black berries, flowers and smoky notes. Full-bodied on the palate, polished tannins and a pronounced sweet spiciness are combined with the ripe fruit palette. Wonderfully complex, optimal drinking pleasure is guaranteed for the next 20 years.
Culinary recommendation
The recommended enjoyment phase of this wine is in the following period: 2037 - 2057 Recommended by Flaschenpöstlern: Cabernet Sauvignon Annum goes well with red meat, Gruyère burgers and pizza with mushrooms.
Vinification
After manual harvesting, the selected grapes are subjected to a cool maceration period. Fermentation then begins using the vines' own yeasts. The wine matures for 23 months in new French barriques (Taransaud and Darnajou) on the yeast and yeast attachment stirring (bâtonnage) is regularly used. Biological acid degradation also takes place during this time. The wine is then bottled unfiltered before it is sold.
