The winemaker from the Australian winery Kangarilla Road has absolutely mastered his craft. Elegance and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originates in the enchanting and sunny landscape of South Australia. With this strong red wine 2014 — Cabernet Sauvignon McLaren Vale, the term taste takes on a new meaning. Culinary tip from Flaschenpöstler: This Cabernet Sauvignon can be served very well with Gruyère burgers or pizza with mushrooms.

Tasting note
Fresh and tasty with a delicious flavor intensity, this wine will please you. Cabernet is its unmistakable bouquet, dominated by spicy aromas: cassis, dried chili peppers, cumin and eucalyptus. Timber construction is skilfully used without dominating. This typical cabernet from South Australia is a lot of fun to drink. That is exactly what Helen and Kevin O'Brien want to achieve at their McLaren Vale winery!

Recommended by Flaschenpöstlern: Goes well with pizza with mushrooms, Gruyère burgers and red meat. Our recommendation: The ideal drinking temperature for the red wine is a slightly chilled 16°-18°C. The recommended enjoyment phase of this wine is in the following period: 2-8 years after the harvest.
Vinification
The vinification took place as follows: Fermentation in traditional, open fermentation vats with gentle submersion of the pomace hat. The wine matures in combination of 25% new French and American barriques, with a balanced blend of 1, 2, 3 and 4 times used barrels.
