About the wine
David Ramey earned his spores in some world-famous businesses before he founded his own winery in Healdsburg/Sonoma County in 1996. Château Pétrus and Dominus, for example, are on his list of references. He combines old-world methods with innovation from the new world, creating wines that are characterised by incredible balance and longevity.

Tasting note
Intense and aromatic nose with first notes of ripen. Lots of cherries, cassis, herbs, chocolate, tobacco and cedarwood. Pleasant fullness on the palate with ripe tannins and spicy, herbal aromas on the long finish.
Culinary recommendation
Flaschenpöstler-Tipp: Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley passt ideal zu rotem Fleisch, Pizza mit Pilzen und Gruyère Burger.
Vinification
After manual harvesting, the selected grapes are subjected to a cool maceration period. Fermentation then starts with the vine's own yeasts. After gentle pressing, the wine matures for 30 months in 60% new French barrels and was bottled unfiltered.
