About the wine
The winemaker from the South African winery Boschkloof has absolutely mastered his craft. Style and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originates in the fertile and sunny landscape of the coastal region. Tasting note
A classic cabernet with aromas of cedarwood and pencil tips. Dense dark ruby-red/black color with ripe plums and integrated oak on the nose. Full-bodied on the palate and with a firm structure. Smooth yet fresh.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with grilled or roasted red meat.
Vinification
The grapes come from 30-35 year old vines and were harvested by hand and then fermented with the skin at 26°C to 28°C. After fermentation, the mash is stored on the skin for a further 22 days to achieve maximum concentration and extraction. The wine was further aged for 26 months in French oak barrels.
