About the wine

Force Majeure was created in 2004 from the partnership of winemaker and vineyard manager Ryan Johnson and owners Paul and Susan MC Bride, as well as some of the area's most up-and-coming oenologists. Ben Smith, Ross Mickel, Mark McNeilly, Carolyn Lakewold and Chris Gorman had the opportunity to create their own cuvées according to their ideas, which are numbered with the Roman numerals from I-VII. The idea was to produce wines based on different French models and to give them a unique character through the various manuscripts of the individual winemakers.
