About the wine
Fertile and blooming Tuscan landscapes give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Podere Poggio Scalette conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. With the powerful Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 — Capogatto Alta Valle della Greve IGT, nuances and accents are redefined. The Flaschenpöstler guarantee a culinary experience when you serve this Cabernet Sauvignon with Gruyère burgers or red meat.

Tasting note
Intense, almost black purple with violet reflections. Extremely thick in the nose and almost exploding. Dark, ripe fruit, jam, lavishly scented, violets, cassis, black pepper, mocha and fine wood notes. Very complex on the palate, dark fruits, blackberries, the finest wood aromas, cassis, cherries and vanilla. The tannins are very fine and smooth. The aftertaste is very long and harmonious.
Culinary recommendation
A great accompaniment to an entrecote or grilled beef fillet.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand. After alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks for around 12 days, the young wine is aged for 18 months in French barriques. This is followed by filling onto the bottle. The wine is then left to rest for at least 8 months before it goes on sale.
