About the wine
With this dominant Cabernet Sauvignon 2010 — Carruades de Lafite, the term taste takes on a new meaning. In the north of the city of Bordeaux are the gravelly, clayey soils that offer the winemaker from the French winery Château Lafite-Rothschild everything he needs to live out his craft and produce a wine for discerning connoisseurs. Tasting note
The second wine from Lafite Rothschild. Once also produced from outclassed barrels of the Premier Grand Crus Château Lafite, the former “Moulin des Carruades” now has its own, clearly designated vineyard plots next to the hill of Château Lafite. The house's style of vinifying wines of exceptional fine fragrance is also recognizable here. On the nose, the finest cassis tones alongside a floral note (lilac) and a fine cedar wood note. On the palate, noble balance of fine tannins with well-integrated acidity.
