About the wine
Since 1997, the Il Palagio winery has been owned by singer Sting and his wife Trudie Styler. They successfully continue the winegrowing tradition of the winery and distribute it internationally. “A wine is like a song — it has to tell a story. That's why I named my wines after my biggest hits, Sting explains his love for wine.
Tasting note
95% Sangiovese and some Canaiolo and Colorino. Aromatic bouquet, cassis, eucalyptus, lavender, cherries, rosemary, fresh, mineral touch. Juicy on the palate, fine melting, good contours, fresh and with a fruity finish. Goes well with tagliatelle al ragù or lasagna.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with pasta, mushroom dishes, grilled beef and fish.
Vinification
Aged in barriques for 12 months.
