About the wine

The “Castel Grand Vin” pampers the nose delicately and finely structured with characters of ripe black berries, oak and vanilla with a hint of leather and smoke. This elegant and round wine shows light yet palpable tannins and has a very smooth and gentle finish. The red wine is made from a wonderful cuvée of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. These varieties are blended from the winery's excellent vineyards and then aged for 16 months in new French oak barrels and an additional 4 months in concrete tanks. In front of the passionate “Castel Grand Vin”, it can be very difficult to refrain from opening the bottle opening. However, the wine reaches its peak within a few years and, under suitable conditions, can remain in the best drinking state for a long time. Be fascinated by this tempting drop by combining it with rich dishes such as a juicy flank steak, braised lamb shanks or a cassoulet.
