However, the Spanish winery Vallformosa is trying to express the beauty of its homeland with this sparkling wine. We think he succeeded! Tasting note
The Cava Gran Baron is a light straw yellow with greenish reflections. The nose is dominated by aromas of ripe melon, apricot, apple, some banana and light yeast notes. On the palate, the wine is harmonious and round with a fine perlage, a wonderful fruit-acid interplay and an elegant and fruity finish.

Goes well with aperitifs and tapas of all kinds.
Vinification
The grapes for this cava come from the heart of the cava region. With over 300 days of sunshine and a unique microclimate, this region is predestined for viticulture. Gran Barón Brut is produced like a champagne using the classic method of bottle fermentation. The cava matures on the lees in the bottle for at least 12 months. Because of the nice weather, the locals tend to say: “We live here like the great barons.” That's where the name “Gran Barón” comes from.
