About the wine

La Valentina was founded in 1990 by current owner Sabatino Di Properzio and is located in the hills of Spoltore, near Pescara. Sabatino Di Properzio wanted to make the DOC wines of Abruzzo known again and produce excellent quality wines. The modern winery was therefore equipped with the latest technology and additional land in a prime location was purchased or leased. The renowned oenologist Luca D'Attoma has been responsible for winemaking since 1998. La Valentina has 11 hectares of own and 20 hectares of leased vineyards and produces around 265,000 bottles a year.
