About the wine
Bodegas Gómez Cruzado was founded in 1886 in Haro, in the old station district (Barrio de la Estación). The historic bodega is located between Muga y La Rioja Alta in the historic Barrio de la Estación. The two young winemakers David Gonzalez and Juan Antonio Leza have been running the traditional winery since 2008. They remain true to the founding principles of creating the best Rioja wines.
Tasting note
The fruity bouquet of black cherry, chocolate and cooked blackberry plays virtuously with your sense of smell. Afterwards, playful nuances of prune, clove and marmalade will resolutely and consciously convince your senses of taste. With subdued, finely developed tannins, a strong body and fresh acidity, this fruity red wine presents its masterly structure.
Culinary recommendation
Recommended by Flaschenpöstlern: Goes well with red meat, barbecue and lasagna. Our recommendation: Drink this red wine at a slightly chilled 17°-19°C.
