Tasting note
Straw yellow with greenish reflections. Very complex on the nose, with a rich aroma structure: ripe pears, pineapple, citrus fruits, some honey and wonderful roasted notes. Full-bodied on the palate with a high level of complexity. Ripe yellow fruits, vanilla, coconut and fine smoky notes. A wine of great finesse and elegance — and with a very harmonious, long-lasting finish.
Culinary recommendation
It can be classy: How about lobster or crawfish?
Vinification
Antinori has been producing this outstanding white wine since 1985. Only the best grapes are used for the flagship wine from the Castello della Sala winery. After harvesting by hand and gently pressing, the must is fermented in French barriques from Alliers and Tronçais. The young wine is then left on the yeast for five to six months.
