About the wine

This dominant Chardonnay 2014 — Chablis grand cru ac Chateau Grenouilles is a triumph down to the last drop in the truest sense of the word! The gravelly, calcareous soils in Burgundy offer the winemaker from the French winery La Chablisienne everything he needs to live out his craft and make a wine for discerning connoisseurs. The Flaschenpöstler promise a culinary experience when you offer this Chardonnay with asparagus or poultry.

La ChablisienneWhite wine | 75cl1310°-12°CDer fruchtige Chardonnay verleiht diesem Wein seinen besonderen Charakter. Die erfrischenden Noten aus Passionsfrucht und Zitrone sorgen für den verspielten Geschmack.
Tasting note
Brilliant golden yellow. Complex aroma blanket. There are noble barrique notes, delicate peach scent, white flowers. Juicy, aromatic start on the palate, incredibly elegant, expressive and concise structure. The aromas on the nose are repeated and are wonderfully balanced. The aftertaste is long, in perfect balance and lingering for a long time. A great Chablis Grand Cru that perfectly reflects the terroir and grape variety.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with grilled sea bass with ratatouille, chicken breast with light sauce, steamed salmon slices.
Vinification
The grapes for this wine come from two plots with a total area of around 2 ha. The average age of the vines is around 50 years. The wine is vinified and aged at the foot of the Chablis Grand Cru Grenouilles. After fermentation, the young wine matures in small and larger oak barrels. During slow aging on fine yeast, which can take up to 16 months, the wine develops its unmistakable, expressive character of the terroir on which it was grown.
