Tasting note
La Grande Année Rosé reflects the terroir, embodies tradition and promises great enjoyment. The nose reveals what can be expected from a “Cuvée Prestige”: character, profundity and harmony. The sensory impressions in the bouquet are complex and nuanced. The aroma palette ranges from berries (wild berries, red currants) to fresh fruits (green apple, peach, quince) to subtle notes of brioche, yeast, butter and honey. The further course is evidence of a great cuvée: elegant, fine and yet lasting, persistent. The optimum between filigree fruitiness and structural sustainability is achieved on the palate and in the finale. A vintage wine in Champagne must have a special year in terms of quality. In addition, the grapes must be fully ripe and it must be justified that the composition of a blend consists only of wines from the year in question. La Grande Année Rosé is based on the blend of La Grande Année, to which 7 to 8% red wine from the single vineyard Côte aux Enfants is added, which gives the wine its full, round and fruity characteristics. It is also the result of the unmistakable “Style Bollinger”.
