About the wine
The powerful Cabernet Franc 2016 — Champigny AB Les Terres Rouges is the missing piece of the puzzle in your wine rack. With experience and intuition, the winemaker from the French winery Antoine Sanzay masters this red wine in the fertile and picturesque landscape of the Loire. The Flaschenpost team guarantees a culinary experience when you offer this Cabernet Franc with lamb or meatballs with tomato sauce.
Tasting note
The soils of this single vineyard are characterized by red iron ore rock - hence the name. Antoine does 50% whole grape fermentation here and the expansion takes place in concrete tanks. The nose reveals fruity aromas of red and blue berries, plums and dark cherry juice, spicy with notes of tobacco, leather and a subtly animal wild touch. On the palate, in turn, a nice balance of fruit and spice.
Culinary recommendation
Our recommendation: The perfect drinking temperature for the red wine is slightly chilled 16°-18°C. Recommended by Flaschenpöstlern: Champigny AB Les Terres Rouges goes well with game, goat cheese and ravioli.
