About the wine
With experience and intuition, the winemaker from the Italian winery Elena Walch masteres this white wine in the fertile and blooming landscape of South Tyrol. With the delicious Chardonnay Cardellino DOC Alto Adige from 2016, you will positively surprise your friends.
Tasting note
The Chardonnay Cardellino has an intense, straw-yellow color. Ripe exotic fruits, some linden blossoms and honey characterize the complex nose. On the palate, it impresses with its fullness and length, with stimulating freshness and mineral nerve. The Chardonnay is full and structured, juicy and harmonious with velvety softness. Long and elegant aftertaste.
Vinification
After gentle pressing and static clarification, fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 20°C and prolonged contact with yeast after fermentation. 15 percent of the Chardonnay is fermented in French oak barriques and matures for 5 months. Assembly takes place in spring.
