About the wine
David Ramey earned his spurs in some world-famous farms before founding his own winery in Healdsburg/Sonoma County in 1996. Château Pétrus and Dominus, for example, are among his list of references. He combines the methods of the old world with innovation from the new world, creating wines that are characterized by incredible balance and longevity.

Tasting note
The nose is dominated by aromas of candied fruit, pastries and nuts paired with subtle notes of white flowers. Medium-bodied on the palate, elegant and velvety with an impressive spicy freshness.

Vinification
After manual harvesting, the selected grapes are gently pressed without destemming and then fermented using wild yeasts. 20% of the wine is then aged for 20 months in new French barrels (Taransaud and François Frères) on lees. During this time, biological acid degradation also takes place and yeast addition stirring (bâtonnage) is used regularly. After a short period of storage in stainless steel tanks, the wine is bottled without filtration.
