About the wine
From one of Marlborough's most experienced winemakers. Brian Bicknell's goal with Mahi Marlborough Chardonnay is to maintain a fresh structure with a complex palate. It therefore minimizes malolactic fermentation, so it is the vineyards, grapes, yeasts and barrel characters that make up the complex nose and palate.

Tasting note
Complex bouquet with aromas of peach, quince, apple, white flowers, vanilla and flint. On the palate, a complex, structured wine that has a subtle creaminess and a refreshing acidity.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with grilled chicken and fish with creamy sauce.
Vinification
Bottled directly in French oak barrels. Spontaneous fermentation took place there with the yeasts from the grape skin. The wine was stored on the yeast bed for 11 months.
