About the wine
In the north of the city of Bordeaux are the gravelly, gravelly soils that offer the winemaker from the French winery Château Batailley everything he needs to live out his craft and produce a wine for discerning connoisseurs. Culinary tip from Flaschenpost team: This Cabernet Sauvignon is ideal to be served with red meat or pizza with mushrooms.
Robert Parker: 89/100

Tasting note
Rich purple garnet, dense in the middle, purple shimmer on the outside. Elegant bouquet, blue berries, violets and some licorice, is fresh and almost cheerful. On the palate, with a fine substance, showing a density that should not be underestimated, dark chocolate notes in the extract and a noble bitterness in the finale.
Vinification
The name of this winery comes from the battle ('battalion') that took place there during the 100 years war in 1452. At that time, the French recaptured this area from the English and soon after, the first vines were planted. A Bordeaux blend which was stored for 18 months in French barriques (55% new). This results in a typical Pauillac with cassis aromas and good structure.
