About the wine

In the north of the city of Bordeaux are the gravelly, calcareous soils that offer the winemaker from the French winery Château Branaire Ducru everything he needs to live out his craft and produce a wine for discerning connoisseurs. Flaschenpost team tip: Combine this Cabernet Sauvignon with Gruyère burgers or pizza with mushrooms.

Tasting note
Dark purple. Notes of blackberry, blueberry and cedar, plus a hint of vanilla and some leather. Medium to full body, with juicy tannins and a long finish. 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot and 4% Cabernet Franc. The wine was aged for 18 months in 60% new barriques.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with red and grilled meats as well as spicy cheeses.
