About the wine
In the north of the city of Bordeaux are the gravelly, calcareous soils that offer the winemaker from the French winery Château Branaire Ducru everything he needs to live out his craft and produce a wine for discerning connoisseurs. Flaschenpost team tip: Combine this Cabernet Sauvignon with Gruyère burgers or pizza with mushrooms.

Tasting note
Rich purple garnet, dense in the middle, purple shimmer on the outside. Rarely did a branaire have such a dark color in the primeur. Ripe bouquet, almost indicating a creamy fullness, the fruit suggests elderberry and cassis notes. Firm on the palate, balanced astringency, great back aroma. There are only very few Grand Crus this year that top their own performance in 2010 with the 2014. I put this brilliantly successful branaire with convience on its high rating. That would then also be the end of a long non-shopping dry spell.
