Château Capbern Saint-estephe 2017 - Château Capbern

About the wine

The powerful Cabernet Sauvignon 2016 — Château Capbern Saint-estephe is the missing piece of the puzzle in your wine rack. The gravelly, gravelly soils in the north of the city of Bordeaux form the breeding ground for this Cabernet Sauvignon. The winemaker from the French winery Château Capbern knows how to use them and delights us with this red wine. Flaschenpost team tip: Combine this Cabernet Sauvignon with red meat or ribeye steak.

Château CapbernRed wine | 75cl1316°-18°CCabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc
Robert Parker: 91/100
Tasting note
“The 2017 Capbern is medium to deep garnet-purple colored with aromas of baked blackberries, Morello cherries, cassis, fertile loam, unsmoked cigars and sautéed herbs. The Palate is medium-bodied, firm and grainy with a good black fruit core and red fruit sparks on the finish. The wine was aged for 18 months in French oak, 60% new. The final blend is 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 39% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot.” (Robert Parker - Lisa Perrotti Brown)
Culinary recommendation
Our recommendation: The red wine tastes best at a slightly chilled 16°-19°C. The recommended enjoyment phase of this wine is in the following period: 2020-2030. Flaschenpost team tip: Château Capbern Saint-Estephe goes perfectly with red meat, Gruyère burgers and ribeye steak.
