About the wine
Tasting, selection and blending are the key words. In several phases of transformation, which are interrupted by regular and careful tastings accompanied by Mr. Eric Boissenot, the great wine profile of Château Citran is defined. The final blend results from the largest plots and the symbiosis of three grape varieties: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.

Tasting note
Aromas of boiled fruit and lots of cassis. In addition to spicy tones, hints of tobacco and licorice. Very fine tannin structure, juicy and with lots of melting, wonderful sweetness and fantastic freshness.
Culinary recommendation
Coq au vin, pot roast with a strong sauce and aged cheese.
Vinification
Up to 40% matured in new barriques.
