About the wine
Tasting, selection and blending are the key words. In several phases of transformation, which are interrupted by regular and careful tastings accompanied by Mr. Eric Boissenot, the great wine profile of Château Citran is defined. The final blend results from the largest plots and the symbiosis of three grape varieties: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.

Tasting note
The refreshing bouquet of fruit compote, spices and tobacco shows aromatic complexity and plenty of pleasure potential. The dominant nuances of black cherry, black plum and black pepper create their individual texture. With subdued, finely developed tannins, strong body and dominant acidity, this fruity red wine shows its flawless texture.
Culinary recommendation
Our recommendation: The red wine tastes best at a slightly chilled 16°-18°C. The wine should be enjoyed during this period: 2010 - 2020. Flaschenpöstler tip: Perfect with red meat, ribeye steak and pizza with mushrooms.
