Tasting note
The wine has a deep ruby red color. On the nose, Beaucastel is very opulent, complex and combines wonderfully spicy, fruity notes of fresh fruit and cocoa with aromas of brandy. On the palate, it is elegant, luscious and mouth-filling with a silky texture and strong aromas of small black berries and fine spices. Very nice, long-lasting finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes wonderfully with barbecues, beef, fine pieces of meat, lamb, veal, braised dishes and game.
Vinification
Each variety is harvested individually and by hand. The winemaking takes place in oak barrels for the reductive varieties (Mourvèdre, Syrah) and in traditional concrete containers for the oxidative grapes (all others). As soon as the lactic acid fermentation is complete, the different varieties are blended, then the wine is aged in oak barrels for 12 months.
