Tasting note
Deep dark ruby garnet, solid core, purple reflections, delicate brightening spicy black berry fruit with herbs, blackberry nuances, some licorice, a Touch of precious wood. Powerful, fine nougat, ripe black berries, firm, good integrated tannins, sticks well, spicy style, potential for development.
Culinary recommendation
Excellent with stews, entrecôtes and truffle dishes.
Vinification
Silvio Denz manages this winery with the personal advice of Count Compte de Neipperg and Michel Rolland. After harvesting and selecting by hand, the grapes are vinified in a wooden cuvier. The subsequent aging takes place over 14 months, with half of new and used French barriques.
