About the wine
It draws its strength and energy from the gravelly soils south of the city of Bordeaux. The winemaker from the French winery Château Fieuzal transforms it into a real treat with great emotion. You will definitely have a lot of fun with the delicious Chateau Fieuzal Cru classe Graves/Pessac-Leognan a.C., produced in 2012.
Château FieuzalRed wine | 75cl1416°-18°CCabernet Sauvignon 70.00%/Cabernet Franc 20.00%/Merlot 10.00%
James Suckling: 94/100
Tasting note
70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc, 10% Merlot. Extremely rich purple with purple reflections. The dark-fruity bouquet exudes lots of blackberries and alpine blueberries, in the second batch it has liquorice and also very finely smoky contours. Complex palate, showing ripe tannins and a nice fullness, but it remains elegant. This is great Bordeaux; lots of aroma with a body that is not too fat. It is the second time that a red Fieuzal has received this high score at the Prime tasting. The last time it was in the 2010 vintage, which is going to be a pretty exciting Léognan value! And therefore a pretty good buy!
Culinary recommendation
The following period is the ideal enjoyment phase of this wine: 2022 — 2040. Recommended by Flaschenpöstlern: Chateau Fieuzal Cru classe Graves/Pessac-Leognan a.C. Goes well with red meat, pizza with mushrooms and Gruyère burgers.
