About the wine
The winemaker from the Greek winery Domaine Costa Lazaridi greets us with this wine, which he grows in the countryside. If we can offer something special for Christmas 2021, it will be this distinctive red wine 2011 — Château Julia Merlot Protected Geograpical Indication Drama. Culinary tip from Flaschenpost team: This Merlot can be served very well with poultry or duck.

Tasting note
Deep, dark red. Enchanting change of impressions. Red currant, cherry marmalade, mint chocolate and cedar are just a few of the impressive flavors. Rich, almost excessive fruit that supports the well-integrated tannins. The theoretically high alcohol content is balanced by the acidity and expressed primarily in terms of sweetness and volume. Long finish with notes of chocolate.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with red meat, grilled or braised, roasted poultry, such as turkey or goose, venison, oven-baked piglets, soft and savory cheeses.
Vinification
Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, 20% of which are new.
