This striking Merlot 2014 — Chateau L'Eglise Clinet A.C. Pomerol crowns every festive meal with elegance and finesse. The gravelly, calcareous soils north and east of the Gironde and Dordogne form the breeding ground for this Merlot. The winemaker from the French winery Château du Domaine de L'Eglise knows how to use them and delights us with this red wine. Tasting note
Deep purple. A wonderful bouquet. Wild raspberries, ripe plums, cassis, dark precious woods and noble black tea, bergamot and lemon thyme fine dark caramel notes in the second approach. Aromatic palate beginning, the astringency is hidden a bit more in the demanding extract than on the palate side, showing a bound sweetness in the long, aromatic, blackberry-tasting finish.
