About the wine
The history of Le Boscq dates back to the 18th century. However, the rebirth did not take place until 1995, when the Dourthe Group bought the company. The barge on the label commemorates the time when the barrels filled with wine were transported to the port of Bordeaux by such barges.
Falstaff: 93/100

Velvety, strong, fruity bouquet, blackberries, black cherries, cassis, caramel, mocha, fresh cream. Creamy, fine opulent palate with sweet fruit, fine tannins, creamy structure, strong, sweet aromas, long, full finish.
Culinary recommendation
The following period is the ideal enjoyment phase of this wine: 2023 — 2038. Flaschenpost team recommends this Chateau Le Boscq AOC Cru Bourgeois St-Estephe to accompany Gruyère burger, ribeye steak and pizza with mushrooms.
Vinification
The exemplary tank room is very spacious and equipped with highly selective machines that treat the grapes with the utmost care. The grapes are sorted by hand on vibrating tables both before and after light destemming. The grapes are then transported very carefully on a conveyor belt and gently pressed on their way into the tanks. The stainless steel tanks with a small capacity (64-134 hl) allow the joint vinification of plots or small plots with similar grapes. The wines are aged in barriques and the plots are kept separate until blended in two renovated, partly underground cellars adjacent to the tank room. Aging in oak barrels, on fine lees, 30% new wood
