About the wine
The winery is one of the chosen ones who were invited by Napoleon III to the 1855 World's Fair in Paris and classified there. Since then, the wines of Chateau Cantemerle have been classified as Grand Cru Classé. The 87-hectare estate in Haut Medoc vinifies the grapes in oak barrels and leaves them to mature in barriques for one and a half years.

Tasting note
Rich, opulent and immensely seductive wine with impressive aromatic complexity. Notes of crème de cassis, dark chocolate, licorice and mocha are accompanied by floral and mineral accents. Ripe, silky smooth tannins, perfectly integrated acidity and an incredibly long, deep, complex finish give this wine rarely achieved class and elegance.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with beef, game, lamb and poultry.
