Chateau Monbrison AC 2016 - Château Monbrison

About the wine

The gravelly, gravelly soils in the north of the city of Bordeaux form the breeding ground for this Cabernet Sauvignon. The winemaker from the French winery Château Monbrison knows how to use them and delights us with this red wine. If you're looking for something special, don't miss out on this dominant Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 — Chateau Monbrison AC. Culinary tip from Flaschenpost team: This Cabernet Sauvignon is ideal to be served with pizza with mushrooms or ribeye steak.

Tasting note
The WineSpectator writes about the Château Monbrison 2012: Features a plush core of plum, blackberry and red currant fruit that feels as if it has more stretching out to do, while bergamot, black tea and sanguine accents line the finish. This should fill out with a touch of cellaring. Best from 2016 through 2020 and rated it with a very good 89/100 points. A fruity, mineral and extremely elegant wine that consistently belongs to the Bordeaux with the best price-performance ratios.
Culinary recommendation
French specialities such as Châteaubriand, hearty meat dishes, grilled meats or recent hard cheeses
Vinification
The Château Monbrison is fermented at controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks. The ageing takes place classically for 18 months in French barriques, using up to 50% virgin wood, depending on the vintage.
