About the wine
The domain of Château Montrose, in the municipality of Saint-Estèphe in the Médoc, comprises 94 hectares of vines, which are planted around the castle. The château was built in 1815 by Etienne Théodore Dumoulin. Very soon, the wines were appreciated by wine lovers, thanks to their specific character and their long shelf life. Today Château Montrose, after the Dollfus and Hostein families, is owned by the Charmolüe family. Montrose wines are among the most renowned in Bordeaux.

Tasting note
Rich purple garnet, dense in the middle, purple shimmer on the outside. Defensive start, floral, tobacco-like, finely iodinous black pepper, tar and some currants, restrained, almost reserved. Exalted on the palate, showing good meat rations, blueberry fruits, licorice. An introverted Montrose classic with medium pressure, from the long back flavor.
