About the wine
This dominant Cabernet Sauvignon 2010 — Chateau Pavie-Macquin Grand Cru Classé St-Emilion AOC is in the truest sense of the word a hit right down to the last drop! The gravelly soils north and east of the Gironde and Dordogne form the breeding ground for this Cabernet Sauvignon. The winemaker from the French winery Château Pavie-Macquin knows how to use them and delights us with this red wine. Culinary tip from Flaschenpost team: This Cabernet Sauvignon is excellent to serve with red meat or Gruyère burgers.
Robert Parker: 95+/100
Tasting note
That stays in the memory: Its attractive ruby red gives every occasion a special touch. The playful aromas of Chateau Pavie-Macquin Grand Cru Classé St-Emilion AOC of fruit compote, spices and tobacco express a lot of character with a very special structure. Afterwards, the striking nuances of black cherry, black plum and black pepper reveal their own character. A fruity red wine with a strong body and dominant acidity, which develops its lively structure pleasantly with finely developed tannins on the tongue and palate. This top wine won the prize: Parker: 95+ points; Wine Spectator: 96 points.
